“Addressing Antisemitism Today”

  • Vincent United Methodist Church 100 VINCENT PL NUTLEY United States (map)

The Nutley Clergy Fellowship is co-sponsoring a dinner and seminar entitled “Addressing Antisemitism Today.”  It will be on Thursday, June 8 at 6:30 p.m. at Congregation Shomrei Emunah in Montclair. With antisemitism alarmingly on the rise, it is essential to foster dialogue within and between communities of faith, specifically in this program -- the Jewish community and the Christian community.  Participants will gather around dinner and respond to a program presented by Rabbi Julie Roth of Congregation Shomrei Emunah.  Participants will have increased awareness and insight in regard to antisemitism.  Through their conversations with one another, participants will share valuable experience. The hope is to build connections that will inspire further action together. The value of this program has been recognized by the Jewish Community Relations Council of the Jewish Federation of Greater Metrowest NJ.  We thank them for their generous grant!  "The JCRC and our Community Leaders Against Hate and Antisemitism committee is happy to support this important community building dinner."  We also recognize the partnership of the Montclair Interfaith Clergy Association and the Nutley Clergy Fellowship. There is no cost for the dinner or the program.  There will be an opportunity for a free will donation to support the Anti-Defamation League of NY and NJ.  RSVP by June 1 to Pastor Nancy Truscott of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Nutley.  ntruscott@comcast.net or call the church at 973-667-0256.
